Eric Ries is still my favourite…

Chew The Fat is a series of interviews with some of the big names in startup and tech, in front of a live audience. Now I know it’s not professional to have favourites but Eric Ries, author of The Lean Startup, drew one of the biggest crowds we’ve had and remained humble throughout. I also got to text him directions because unlike most of the others he wasn’t there with an agent, which made me feel so hashtagtechrocknroll. But enough about that…

Over the last few years Chew The Fat has welcomed many interesting people into the hotseat, including…

For the majority of the events, 3beards co-founder Benjamin Southworth led the interview, however when he moved to Amsterdam I stepped up to the plate and had the pleaseure of interviewing Chloe Macintosh, founder of Made.com.

As Head of Events and Community I was responsible for making the event happen, covering everything from logistics, marketing, and sponsor liaison, to co-ordinating staff, helping with registration and introducing sponsors, interviewer and guest speakers to the audience. In a small company you look for what needs to be done and you do it. In a company of 2-3 people, there is no such thing as “not my job”.
